Montshire Museum of Science

I've probably already mentioned this, but Dartmouth College is kind of in the middle of nowhere. It's a really, really beautiful area, totally covered in forests full of trees. It's the perfect location to live if you are a wood-pecker or a squirrel, but if you are a human...say, a stay-at-home mom....then there doesn't seem to be as many options of things to do to :)
It's definitely different than Orange County. For instance... there's no Disneyland.
How does one cope without a Disneyland in your backyard??
Just kidding. Our Disneyland annual pass completely spoiled us :)
Anyway, I definitely need to explore the area a little more and see what fun (hidden) things there are to do. But we did check out something fun last week:
One of the main "attractions" in our neighborhood is the Montshire Museum of Science which is just across the river in Vermont. It's located in the most beautiful spot along the river. Our friends have a family pass and invited Bryn and I to use it with them last week.

It was really fun!  It's kind of pricey to go on your own unless you have an annual pass, so we've got to figure out if we're getting a pass or not. But Bryn loved it and it was a great way to spend a rainy afternoon.

it's totally worth the annual pass, especially in the winter months! and it's really really fun in the summer too, there's a stream, and little splash area in the back, and cool trails through the woods. Also, the exhibits upstairs change every few months so it's not always the same stuff.
